Microsoft Silverlight Services

As of March 16, 2009, Arris Systems is a Microsoft Silverlight Partner (see press release). As a partner we have demonstrated and proven that we have the experience and ability to deliver solutions using Microsoft Silverlight.

Arris can help you take that traditional desktop application and make it work over the Internet. Most recently, Arris Systems utilized Silverlight to design and develop a web-based business application to replace a Windows desktop application. The application was built using the following Microsoft technologies:

Silverlight 3.0
Microsoft’s Visual Studio 2008
.NET Rich-Internet-Application (RIA) Services
MS SQL Server 2008

Case Study:

Charter School Customer’s Challenge: Public schools in PA are paid by the State at the district level, based on student body headcount in the respective schools that comprise the district. Charter schools are typically made up of students from multiple districts. State reimbursement procedures were not designed to handle this model. Charter schools were missing critical deadlines for reimbursement from The State, and losing significant revenue. The Solution: Arris built a custom Billing/Accounting System for charter schools that reflect underlying intricacies of working with The State of Pennsylvania. The Result: Participating charter schools have significantly decreased “lost revenue”.
