E6D301: E6000 CER Cable Modem Registration
This eLearning course presents the processes that are performed during cable modem registration, functional differences with DOCSIS versions 1.x, 2.0 and 3.0 cable modems, and how to pinpoint potential issues in ranging, registration and cable modem resets. The course also contains a brief overview of the differences with DOCSIS 3.1.
E6D302: E6000 CER Theft of Service Prevention
This eLearning course presents common ways theft of service can occur in a CATV network such as modem cloning or reuse of a valid modem configuration file. The course examines how E6000 CER features can be configured to prevent these and other types of service threats in the cable network. This course is based exclusively on DOCSIS issues.
E6D303: E6000 CER RF Impairments
This eLearning course presents the typical RF impairments that are experienced in a CATV network including noise, distortion and power issues. The course examines these impairments and how they are reported and measured in the E6000 CER and presents mitigation considerations. This course is based exclusively on DOCSIS issues.
E6D304: E6000 CER Troubleshooting Capacity and Bandwidth
This eLearning course presents types of capacity and bandwidth issues experienced in the CATV network. The course examines tools available in the E6000 CER that can be used to identify and resolve problems such as impaired upstream and downstream traffic or issues. This course is based exclusively on DOCSIS issues.
E6D305: E6000 CER Advanced Troubleshooting Capstone Instructor-led Training
$2475 per student
This course supports concepts discussed in Cable Modem Registration, Theft of Service Prevention, RF Impairments, and Troubleshooting Capacity and Bandwidth Issues by providing in-depth activities and case studies to reinforce troubleshooting tasks.
