Daniel Suárez enters the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) season looking to continue adding to his impressive resume. Only 26 years old, the Monterrey, Mexico-native already cemented his place in the NASCAR record books by becoming the first Mexican-born driver to win a NASCAR national series race when he won the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) event at Michigan International Speedway in 2016. Suárez didn't stop there as he claimed the NXS championship that same season. In 2017, Suárez broke into the MENCS ranks with the No. 19 ARRIS team at Joe Gibbs Racing. During his rookie season, Suárez posted one top-five finish to go along with 12 top-10s and 40 laps led.

Crew chief Scott Graves will lead Suárez and the No. 19 ARRIS team's efforts once again. A native of Clifton Springs, N.Y., Graves served as crew chief for Suárez's 2016 NXS championship and took over the same position with the No. 19 ARRIS team in the MENCS after five races last season. In addition to his success at Joe Gibbs Racing, Graves also led his former driver Chris Buescher to the NXS title in 2015.
