Top Ten Reviews recently reviewed and ranked the ARRIS SURFboard® SB6141 #1 in a cable modem lineup, and it earned a Top Ten Reviews Gold Award. The SURFboard SB6121 cable modem ranked #2.

The 13th Annual CSI Awards shortlist was also announced this week with ARRIS being nominated in three different categories: best digital video processing technology for the ME-7000 Converged Video Compression Platform, best cable or fibre contribution solution for the AgileMax™ RFoG Optical Distribution, and best customer premise technology for the VIP4000 and VIP5000 Series of Set-Tops.

On Monday, SNL Kagan analyst, JP O’Sullivan, spoke at the Connected TV Summit in London. According to Video Net, O’Sullivan said electronic sell-through (EST) is a small yet flourishing market that can best be exploited through pay-TV operators.

Ooyala and Vindicia’s new research study, conducted by London MTM, claims that OTT service revenues could potentially double or triple from $4 billion in 2014 to anywhere from $8-12 billion in 2018. Fierce Cable reported that this increase is due to “consumer’s growing increasingly comfortable with OTT services.”
